DaRuMA is great. I've lived in sarasota on and off since I have been 12 and that restaurant has always been one of my favorites.
I don't have the history in Sarasota, but they have never let me down. Nice happy hour appetizer/drink deals too.
I have to agree, I have only been a couple of times but they have been excellent.
